Sam would have been psychic with or without Azazel's blood so when Azazel was killed, only the powers connected to him were taken away. Thus, Sam can no longer exorcise demons with his mind and has no telekinetic abilities.2.) Sam didn't quit hunting nor settle down with Amelia during the time Dean was in purgatory. Due to Sam's poor mental health, he was in no condition to rejoin normal life.3.) Sam's powers were dormant during season 6 and slowly made their return in season 7 where he did his best to ignore them. And it wasn't until Sam had finished the second trial during season 8 that he chose to tell Dean of their return.4.) Sam's demon blood makes his magic stronger and since Azazel was the demon to introduce magic to humanity, Sam has the ability to become a very powerful witch with lots of practice.5.) If Sam drinks demon blood at any point in time his powers will activate as they did in season 3. He was never cured of his addiction and though may struggle with it at times, has it under control.6.) Being unholy himself, Sam can sense holy objects and grounds.7.) Sam is still spiritually connected to Lucifer after season 5 and shares a vaguely similar connection with Jack.8.) Sam is still safeguarding the throne of hell after the events of season 14, not taking power himself, but also not allowing anyone else to either. Quote, There will be no new King of Hell. Not today. Not ever. And if anybody wants the job, you can come through me."

Sam knows all about the family business but is too small to hunt so he mainly just follows Dean around wherever he goes. The idea of monsters scare Sam and he'd much rather hide than fight at this point in time.★ PRE-SERIES: living in your nightmare

Sam is on the road with his father and big brother. Both of them are still learning to hunt and often move from town to town after a few months. At this point, Sam has accepted that hunting will be his life forever and hasn't even considered the possibility of college.★ SEASONS 1-3: road to hell
- Age: 22-24
Sam is hunting with his brother again after a three year gap for college. Now, they’re taking odd jobs around the country while on the search for their missing father. It's not the same as it used to be though, Sam's powers are starting to manifest and he has little control over them.SEASONS 4-5: lost myself in oklahoma
- Age: 24-26
With the devil near and tensions high with his brother, Sam decides to go off on his own and try to establish a normal life in Oklahoma as a bartender. Of course, the job doesn't last long before he's found and has to face his troubles again.SEASONS 9-11: lost on the road to nowhere

Sam's mind and powers have settled again and hell is mostly just a distant memory that visits him in dreams. Which is good because Sam needs to be as collected as he can for his brother who is now bearing the mark of cain and needs all the support he can get.SEASON 12: family business

Mary is alive, there is a lot of family drama, and Sam never decides to start liking the Men of Letters after they torture him. :)SEASONS 13-15: end of the road

Sam takes a step back from hunting and takes up a more Bobby-esque role where he is basically a supernatural librarian who helps hunters with whatever they need, acts as an information/lore dealer, and will lie for your ass if you need an excuse or cover. sam also starts heavily exploring his psychic abilities and takes a stronger interest in witchcraft.
